About
Hi, I’m Jessica Hobbs — certified massage therapist (cert# 87459) since 2019 and yoga teacher dedicated to helping people reconnect with their bodies through intuitive, restorative touch. My approach blends therapeutic skill with deep presence, creating a space where you can release tension and restore balance. My curiosity about the body and breath comes not only from clinical study, but also from my personal yoga practice - rooted in the devotion of Bhakti yoga and the discipline and structure of Ashtanga yoga. Yoga has deeply influenced my bodywork by underscoring the importance of mind-body connection through breath. Breath is more than a relaxation tool - it is a bridge to the nervous system, a doorway to awareness, and an anchor for healing. I use it as a guiding thread in my sessions, helping you connect inward, soften protective tension, and support your body’s ability to release with more ease and intention. This is also why I offer silent sessions and may suggest them - they give you uninterrupted space to tune into your body and your breath, which supports a deeper release.
Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain or simply a moment to breathe and unwind, I’m here to support your healing journey.
Modalities include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Thai Mat, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique), Prenatal
One of my favorite parts of working in the wellness space is the ongoing education it inspires. I’ve been fortunate to study and complete continuing education with exceptional teachers who have shaped my work.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique) with Nicola McGill, Klose Training in Seattle, WA June 2021
Thai Mat Massage with Sebastian Bruno in Lisbon, Portugal August 2024
Carole Osborne's Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy Workshop with Sparrow Harrington and Marjeanne Estes in San Diego, CA November 2025
200 RYT Teacher Training Certification, Neil Wadhawan Yoga, San Francisco, CA February 2026
Cosmic Breathwork Level 1 Training, Mahendra Briksha, Hamsa Integral Breathwork, April 2026
My work is inspired by the works and teachings of Gil Hedley, Deane Juhan, Tias Little, and so many other amazing wellness practitioners.
My yoga practice has been deeply influenced by my teachers Neil Wadhawan, Anthony Rocco, Kristen Coyle and many others. We are very lucky in San Francisco to have the best of the best teachers.
My understanding of yoga philosophy has been profoundly shaped by a four-month residential immersion at The Yoga Society of San Francisco, founded by Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati. In this dedicated space, I committed to daily meditation, the study of ancient wisdom texts, and sacred practices such as the Agnihotra fire ceremony. I studied classical Sanskrit, memorized and recited mantras, and received guidance from devoted teachers - experiences that continue to inform the depth and intention of my teaching.
Yoga has deeply changed my life. I’m forever grateful for this 5000 year old practice, philosophy and all the teachers that have come before me. I feel the need to pass on the knowledge.
